Landscape architects Farrer Huxley have developed an exciting scheme for the space which has secured planning permission. The redesign features a public artwork by renowned British artist LInder Sterling.

Emma Cons Lover Of Beauty
This space celebrates Emma Cons ( 4th March 1838 – 24th July 1912) the Victorian social entrepreneur who established the The Royal Victoria Hall and Coffee Tavern ( The Old Vic ) and founded Morley College. She was the first female Alderman of the City of London. The Emma Cons Garden is dedicated to her memory.
Emma Cons was all about local empowerment and social enterprise and we are inspired by her example. We are looking for volunteers to help with fundraising activities, community gardening and supporting our events.
We are keen to involve residents and workers based in Waterloo in our project to transform Emma Cons Gardens. If you want your voice to be heard and have ideas as to how improve the gardens please get in touch.
